Ara Shafrazian, M.D.

Ara Shafrazian, MD, is one of the founding physicians at LibertyMed Health Group in Glendale, California. Dr. Shafrazian is a proud native of Glendale and was motivated to return to his hometown to provide exceptional medical care to those in his community.

Dr. Shafrazian earned his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of California, Los Angeles. He then received his Doctor of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Shafrazian went on to complete his family medicine residency on the East Coast at St. Francis Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Wilmington, Delaware.

Dr. Shafrazian is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and has trained in multiple facets of patient care from newborns to the geriatric population. His vast exposure to different disciplines of medicine, including hospital medicine, sports medicine, and obstetric care, has afforded him considerable experience in caring for patients with respect for how complicated each individual's situation is.

The core philosophy of Dr. Shafrazian's work is patient-centered care. He applies a guideline and evidence-driven approach to managing each patient's specific needs concerning their individual goals.

In his free time, Dr. Shafrazian has many hobbies, including tennis, basketball, and spending time with his family.
