Ara Shafrazian, M.D.
Ara Shafrazian, MD, is one of the founding physicians at LibertyMed Health Group in Glendale, California. Dr. Shafrazian is a proud native of Glendale and was motivated to return to his hometown to provide exceptional medical care to those in his community.
Dr. Shafrazian earned his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of California, Los Angeles. He then received his Doctor of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Shafrazian went on to complete his family medicine residency on the East Coast at St. Francis Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Wilmington, Delaware.
Dr. Shafrazian is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and has trained in multiple facets of patient care from newborns to the geriatric population. His vast exposure to different disciplines of medicine, including hospital medicine, sports medicine, and obstetric care, has afforded him considerable experience in caring for patients with respect for how complicated each individual’s situation is.
The core philosophy of Dr. Shafrazian’s work is patient-centered care. He applies a guideline and evidence-driven approach to managing each patient’s specific needs concerning their individual goals.
In his free time, Dr. Shafrazian has many hobbies, including tennis, basketball, and spending time with his family.
Arthur Babakhanians, M.D.
Arthur Babakhanians, MD, is a primary care provider and one of the founding partners at LibertyMed Health Group in Glendale, California. Dr. Babakhanians was born in Iran and immigrated to the United States at the age of sixteen; he has been part of the Glendale community since.
Dr. Babakhanians earned his bachelor’s degrees in ecology and evolutionary biology at the University of California, Los Angeles. He went on to attend St. George’s University School of Medicine, earning his Doctor of Medicine degree. He then completed his residency in family medicine locally at Glendale Adventist Medical Center, where he served as chief resident and obtained his board certification in family medicine.
Dr. Babakhanians enjoys providing the full spectrum of family care for children, adolescents, and adults. He is well trained in all aspects of family medicine, including inpatient and outpatient care. Dr. Babakhanians’ goal is to provide high quality, comprehensive, and evidence-based treatments to all of his patients.
To better serve his patients, Dr. Babakhanians offers his fluency in English, Armenian, and Farsi. He looks forward to seeing new and returning patients at the office.
